• Echoes of Tehran

    Echoes of Tehran will be held at San Francisco Conservatory of Music So Joseph Recital Hall on May 6, 2013 at 8 p.m.. The program includes "Deltangi-ha" (Commissioned by the Delphi Trio) and "A Threnody for Thsoe Who Remain" (co-commissioned by Kronos Performing Arts Association and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts) along other pieces.

    I am working on a brand new piece for the Kronos Quartet about the work songs in the carpet-weaving factories of Iran. Iran is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of carpets and the industry has existed in this country for thousands of years. I spend the summer in Iran field recording which is going to be incoporated in the piece. Stay tuned!
