House of Circus (2021)  is a collaboration between Sahba Aminikia, Minnesota Philharmonic Orchestra (Brian Dowdy, Artistic Director), and Sirkhane Social Circus School, a circus school dedicated to vulnerable refugee children in southeast of Turkey near the border of Syria. The performers, named Circus Heroes are all young teenagers who grew up during the civil war in Syria and have survived a dark past that is incomprehensible to us. The music was recorded by a chamber orchestra during the lockdown, the video is created by Pinar Demiral, the founder of Sirkhane and the piece was premiered on June 19th, 2021 on virtual platforms.
