Sirkhane Social Circus School

Sirkhane Social Circus School is a transformative initiative located in southeastern Turkey, near the Syrian border, dedicated to restoring the childhoods of young refugees and vulnerable local youth through the art of circus.

Operating under the philosophy that every child deserves a safe space to play and heal, the school uses circus arts—such as juggling, acrobatics, and stilt-walking—as a therapeutic tool to foster social cohesion, resilience, and joy among children affected by conflict and displacement. By replacing the trauma of war with the discipline and wonder of performance, Sirkhane empowers its students with essential life skills like teamwork and self-confidence, ultimately providing them with a "mobile" education in happiness that transcends borders and languages.
